Summer Update 2024

This Summer Update 2024 provides an insight into how we have been helping our community over the last few months.

▪️ Energy Loan and Grant Applications 🔠

We have been supporting Homeowners and Landlords with their applications so that they can access funding for energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy technology such as solar panels, batteries and heat pumps. One of the conditions is the production of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), which we have been happy to offer.

▪️ Health and Safety Compliance ⚡️💧

We have been supporting Landlords and Letting Agents with safety certificates ensuring high health and safety standards within the private rented sector. With regards to services offered, we specialize in several key areas, including Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), Legionella Risk Assessments & Fire Alarm Installation. We have now also partnered with a local contractor to provide our customers with EICR and Gas Safety Certificates.

▪️ Environmental Conservation & Supporting Young People 🌲

We work with local charities to support young people (12-18 years) across Edinburgh and use our energy and environmental background to teach environmental conservation. Our projects include practical conservation tasks, environmental education and personal development. We have also planted 43 trees in a tree grove in the Scottish Highlands.

▪️ Public Education 🎤

Our team regularly attends public and industry events to educate audiences on environmental and social topics. For example, we attend property networking events to deliver important updates on energy efficiency in the housing sector and changes to Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). Additionally, we actively participate in industry conferences to share insights and foster collaborations on sustainable building practices. We speak at colleges and universities on important environmental issues and to audiences within the charity sector on social issues.

▪️ Aico Community Awards 2024 🚨

Aico is the European market leader in Fire Alarm products. It is likely that you have Aico fire alarms installed in your property. They run a bi-annual Community Awards which celebrates excellence within the social housing industry and local community. AAL Property Solutions was nominated as a finalised for – Inspirational Colleague of the Year. This award recognises an organisation who goes above and beyond the call of duty to make their communities a better place.

From the beginning our mission has always been service to our community which goes beyond our core services. Our aim is to support homeowners, landlords and letting agents with their objectives in the housing sector. We will never be a perfect business, but we will always try our best to communicate well and offer a honest and reliable service.
